Sebastian Bailey’s Grad Collective

From hard-swinging bop to contemporary approaches to free improvisation, this jazz collective features original compositions and arrangements inspired by the music of Charles Mingus, Art Blakey, Brian Blade, and not to mention Schulich School of Music’s foremost professors of composition, John Hollenbeck, Christine Jensen and Joe Sullivan. Musicians: Jeanne Laforest (voice), Sebastian Bailey (alto & tenor saxes, flute), Jeremy Sanderfelder (tenor, alto & baritone saxes, clarinet), Thomas Morelli-Bernard (trombone), Rémi Morisette (guitar), Marika Galea (bass), Rob Martino (drums).

Axis String Quartet

Members of the Axis String Quartet began working together in the fall of 2018 at McGill University’s School of Music with acclaimed violinist Jinjoo Cho. Violinists Benjamin Kronk and Sienna Cho study with professors Alex Read and Andrew Wan respectively. Violist Luke Fullington began his studies at McGill this fall with professor André Roy. Cellist Erin Patterson studies with Matt Haimovitz. Benjamin, Sienna, and Erin will all be graduating from McGill in the spring of 2019.
