Show your appreciation and solidarity towards the Museum

As many other sectors, the cultural environment is highly affected by the actual crisis linked to the COVID-19. The McCord Museum is no exception. More than ever, we need your support to help us keep on going for all Montrealers. You can show your appreciation and solidarity towards the Museum two ways:

  1. Become a Solidarity Member
  2. Make a donation to the 2020-2021 fundraising campaign

The McCord Museum Foundation staff has taken the necessary steps required to ensure our daily operations can continue for our donors. It should also be noted that all donations will be processed regularly and we will continue to issue tax receipts as usual.

1. Become A Solidarity Member

The McCord Museum would like to offer the gift of culture to Montrealers especially affected by this pandemic, giving them a moment of respite and wellness as from June 23.

We therefore invite you to become a McCord Museum Solidarity Member. By contributing $15 a month to the Museum, for a total of $180 a year (and a $120 tax receipt), you will help support our institution.

For every Solidarity Membership purchased, the Museum will offer one annual family membership, free of charge, to a family from a disadvantaged background, a family with a sick child, or a recent immigrant family, enabling them to come and discover the Museum.

As a Solidarity Member, you will enjoy a host of benefits such as:

  • Free, unlimited access for you and one guest
  • Pre-opening access to new exhibitions at Members’ Day
  • Invitations to exhibition openings
  • Invitation to the Donors’ Cocktail, an annual recognition event hosted by our curators
  • A $120 tax receipt

Whether you purchase a Solidarity Membership for yourself or offer it as a gift to a friend or family member, your gesture will help ensure that the McCord Museum remains a place to celebrate life in Montreal for all Montrealers. It is also an excellent way to feel good by doing good!

2. Make A Donation

Leader in the preservation and restoration of historic objects, the Museum works hard to promote one of the largest historical collections in North America.

The McCord Museum is a private non-profit institution that depends heavily on the generosity of donors to finance its priority projects and to ensure its sustainability.
