Support the Recovery Fund
By March 31, we are relying on you to join this collective effort to reach our Recovery Fund goal.
Due to the unique circumstances caused by the pandemic, the McCord Museum has been deprived of self-generated revenues essential to its operations for several months.
Therefore, last fall we created the McCord Museum Recovery Fund to help make up this shortfall. Our goal is to raise $750,000 so we can continue offering visitors dynamic and renewed programming.
As a private non-profit institution, the McCord Museum depends heavily on the support of its donors to preserve its rich heritage and ensure its sustainability.
Your contribution to the Recovery Fund is a vital gesture that will enable the Museum to pursue its mission. As our institution prepares to celebrate its 100th anniversary, we must mobilize as never before to sustain our institution on the Montreal culture scene.

The McCord Museum Foundation staff has taken the necessary steps required to ensure our daily operations can continue for our donors. It should also be noted that all donations will be processed regularly and we will continue to issue tax receipts as usual. An official tax receipt will be issued for each donation of $20 and more.
Become A Solidarity Member
The McCord Museum would like to offer the gift of culture to Montrealers especially affected by this pandemic, giving them a moment of respite and wellness.
We therefore invite you to become a McCord Museum Solidarity Member. By contributing $15 a month to the Museum, for a total of $180 a year (and a $120 tax receipt), you will help support our institution.
For every Solidarity Membership purchased, the Museum will offer one annual family membership, free of charge, to a family from a disadvantaged background, a family with a sick child, or a recent immigrant family, enabling them to come and discover the Museum.
As a Solidarity Member, you will enjoy a host of benefits such as:
- Free virtual tours of the exhibitions
- Free, unlimited access for you and one guest
- Pre-opening access to new exhibitions at Members’ Day
- Invitations to exhibition openings
- Invitation to the Donors’ Cocktail, an annual recognition event hosted by our curators
- A $120 tax receipt
Whether you purchase a Solidarity Membership for yourself or offer it as a gift to a friend or family member, your gesture will help ensure that the McCord Museum remains a place to celebrate life in Montreal for all Montrealers. It is also an excellent way to feel good by doing good!
