Until January 6, 2019, a wide range of activities on offer will entertain the entire family and create magic moments of wonder and discovery in connection with the exhibitions Treasures in the AtticShadows without Borders and Enchanted Worlds.

The Adventure at the Museum

At all times.
Discover the Museum, en famille! Children receive a free* backpack loaded with materials to enhance their visit. The Adventure at the Museum, presented by Hydro-Québec, encourages families to work as a team as they explore the Museum’s rich collections.
Recommended for adults with children ages 2 to 9.

Story Hour

Every day at 3:30 p.m. in English and at 11 a.m. in French
Children of all ages can indulge their curiosities and enrich their imaginations with legends and tales about the objects on display

Choirs and Holiday Tunes

Saturdays, November 17 and 24 novembre, December 1, 8 and 15 at 11 a.m.
Come and listen to adult and children’s choirs sing songs of the holiday season on Victoria Street!

Works in Paper

Sundays, from November 18 to December 9, from 11 a.m. to 4 a.m.
Every day, December 22 to January 6, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Create paper cutouts using a technique inspired by shadow play. This activity introduces young artists to the theme of exile and the concept of «home.»
Recommended for children ages 4 and older accompanied by an adult (involves handling scissors and a utility knife).

Stop-Motion Cartoon Workshop

Sundays, from November 18 to December 9, from 11 a.m. to 4 a.m.
Every day, December 16 to January. 6, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Young and old can indulge their imaginations as they learn the art of stop-motion animation.
Recommended for children ages 3 to 9.

Screening of the Documentary Bagages

Sunday, November 25 at 2 p.m.
Bagages  gives a voice and the stage to newly arrived teenage immigrants studying at Paul-Gérin-Lajoie-d’Outremont High School in Montreal. Through drama workshops, staged scenes and personal interviews, they share their stories of immigration and integration.
Recommended for children ages 9 and older.

Enchanted Music with I Musici de Montréal

December 9 and 16, 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
I Musici de Montréal will take the stage at the McCord Museum to recreate the magic of its legendary Tudor Hall concerts. Both the young and the young at heart will thrill to the sounds of winter songs and holiday classics.

Parents and Tots, Holiday Edition

Wednesday, December 26, 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Parents and their babies can enjoy sensorimotor games along with holiday-themed books and rhymes sure to entertain future readers! Two nursing coaches will be in attendance to answer questions and offer parents support and advice.
Recommended for parents with babies ages 0 to 18 months.
