With its vast experience, the McCord Museum is a must-visit to help newcomers integrate and learn French. We offer participatory visits adapted to the needs of adults learning French, as well as newcomer classes for primary and secondary school students. The visits feature a number of activities that promote the development of language skills. By handling and learning about objects from our educational collection in a stimulating environment, participants of all ages are introduced to the culture and history of Montreal.

These visits are followed by creative workshops that draw on the talents of participants and spur discussion and an exchange of ideas.

The French Instruction and Classes for Newcomers program is made possible thanks to the support of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec.
