June 27 to August 19, 2022
Summer is all about creating, having fun and exploring! And the McCord Museum day camp is all about being attentive to the needs of kids on holidays: playing, moving about, going outside, discovering new things and, especially, having fun.
From glass to fur and paper, materials are mediums to explore and play through art! Every day, children will discover a new material and all its different uses throughout history by way of our archives and current exhibitions. A fun, creative and historical exploration that will make campers’ senses come alive!
Art and nature: endless source of beauty
Children explore how nature has fascinated artists in all their expressions: photography through the lens of landscape photographer Alexander Henderson, material culture and even the most delicate Indigenous beading! After viewing our exhibition and strolling through our urban forest, campers will have fun creating works that depict or find inspiration in nature.
