“The Style of Vittorio Camaiani, Italian Designer” Lecture

Fashion at the Museum

When the sewing machine stops, hands get to work. Thus Vittorio Camaiani’s “prêt-à-couture” was born. For this young stylist and former tailor, woman should be elegant and current, feminine and modern, ready to take on the contemporary world with timeless style.

Fascinated by Massimo Fioravanti’s fashion workshops in Rome, Camaiani got his start in the fashion world in 1988. His passion for art and beauty inspired him to create a style designed for the independent woman who dares to go beyond the paradigms of contemporary fashion. In homage to the private fashion shows of the 1950s, he invented the “One-Day Workshop” formula in several cities in Italy. During these exclusive events, clients are greeted in an ideal couture workshop, can view ready-to-wear collections, choose fabrics and colours, try on clothes and accessories… and in the end not be able to resist the idea of wearing an outfit signed Vittorio Camaiani.
