The United Nations Association Traveling Film Festival at the McCord Museum

The United Nations Association Film Festival – Traveling Film Festival Montreal


In partnership with Yellow Pad Sessions, the first Canadian edition of the United Nations Association Film Festival, Traveling Festival Montreal (UNAFF TFF) will take place on September 21, for the International Day of Peace.

The Festival will present four films defending the United Nations’ values and sustainable development goals. The films’ directors, producers and many experts will attend the screenings and lead discussions and conversations with the audience.


  • Through My Eyes: Hani’s Journey, Canada/Lebanon/Syria
    Director: Zahra Mackaoui. Screening in English. Duration: 30 minutes
  • Soufra, Lebanon/US
    Director: Thomas Morgan. Screening in Arabic with English subtitles. Duration: 73 minutes
  • Liyana, Swaziland
    Directors: Aaron Kopp and Amanda Kopp. Screening in English with French subtitles. Duration: 77 minutes
  • Tomorrow, France/Germany/Kazakhstan/India/UK/US
    Directors: Cyril Dion and Mélanie Laurent. Screening in French and English with French subtitles. Duration: 120 minutes


The Festival was founded in 1998 by Jasmina Bojic, a film critic and lecturer at Stanford, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the signing of Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
