The Success of a Montreal Brand: Parachute In New York

Join Morgan Allard for a discussion about the label’s concept stores in New York and their role in the international success of the Montreal brand.

After opening its first store in Montreal, Parachute inaugurated a second one in New York’s Soho district in 1980. Morgan Allard, co-owner of the New York stores at the time, will take us back to the Parachute experience of the 1980s in the United States and the influence of architecture and celebrities.

Lecture—in conjunction with the exhibition Parachute: Subversive Fashion of the ’80sin English followed by a discussion with the public in French and in English.
