Who Owns Streetwear?

Join Never Was Average for a discussion on the social and artistic impact of streetwear in conjunction with the exhibition Parachute: Subversive Fashion of the ’80s.

Since the 1980s, streetwear has been one of the most lucrative subcultures in fashion. What are the origins of this subculture? Which communities and individuals have contributed to its creation but are rarely mentioned? The conversation will take shape around visual media of Parachute, a Montreal brand that pioneered streetwear in the 1980s.

Activity in French followed by a discussion in French and in English.
