Screening of The Salt of the Earth

In the context of the exhibition Notman, A Visionary Photographer, the McCord Museum invites you to discover another historically significant photographer who, for his part, changed the face of photo-journalism: Sebastião Salgado.

This documentary follows the life and work of Sebastião Salgado, a Brazilian photographer, who for the last forty years travelled the world to document poor and war-ridden communities. The film represents a turning point in Salgado’s life where he chooses to set aside the subject of human misery in favour of an homage to endangered lands, wild flora and fauna and grand landscapes.

Free and open to all.
Location:  J. Armand Bombardier Theatre at the McCord Museum
