Massimadi: Festival des films et des arts LGBTQ+ afro

Massimadi has been using the power of arts to present gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) films and documentaries featuring members of Afro communities to fight against homophobia and transphobia. Closing movies of its 11th edition are presented at the McCord Museum.

Massimadi is a platform to showcase the local talents of our community and to promote Afro LGBTQ culture through artistic presentations. The festival is also a space to share ideas through panels and discussions with artists and activists from Black communities.
