Epic Tales and Bits of Everyday Life: Three Centuries of Quebec Family Archives
The McCord’s Inside Stories
The McCord Museum’s Textual Archives collection contains hundreds of individual and family archival fonds that bear witness to the social and cultural history of Montreal and Quebec. Thanks to the support of Sun Life Financial, a portion of this unpublished content is being described, digitized and made available online.
Illustrated with a variety of unique documents that recount both the stories and history of Quebecers, this lecture takes a look at the project Our Amazing Families! Three Centuries of Quebec Documents and History.
Speakers:
- Céline Widmer: Curator, Textual Archives
- Éléonore Aubut-Robitaille: Project Archivist
The lectures from the series Tea at the McCord focus on the Museum’s collections and exhibitions. Tea and cookies will be served.
