The Future of Chinatown One Year Later

Chinatown is part of Montreal’s popular memory, but its social history and architecture remain largely unknown, and its heritage has been poorly protected. In the shadow of downtown towers and government projects, it has been subjected to pressures that have prompted mobilization and a new look at this threatened urban area.

What is the situation a year after the Minister of Culture and Communications and the Mayor of Montreal decided to work with civil society to save and revitalize Chinatown?
