Film screening evening by the BACA

As part of the fourth edition of the Contemporary Native Art Biennial (BACA), the McCord Museums hosts an evening dedicated to the screening of short films from Native Women artists and filmmakers.

The theme of this Biennial edition – níchiwamiskwém | nimidet | ma sœur | my sister – entirely dedicated to women explores multiple relationships that relate to the concept of sisterhood and evoke the many narratives that shape the identity of Indigenous women. The Contemporary Native Art Biennial highlights the plurality of artistic practices which stems from Native North American cultures.
