Conversations about the exhibition Notman, A Visionary Photographer

Who are you, Mister Notman? Getting to know a historical figure.

Hélène Samson, curator of the Notman photographic archives and of the exhibition Notman, A Visionary Photographer will tell the audience about her intellectual encounter with the great Canadian photographer of the 19th century. You will discover how a missed encounter can strongly resurface years later and you will learn about the particular obstacles that are faced when creating a major exhibition from photographic archives.

A discussion period will follow the presentation for a chance to focus on the topics that interest the audience.
