This Week’s Concert: The Submissives
The Urban Forest
Every Wednesday during the summer, join us in the Urban Forest for a series of free summer concerts organised with new partnership and featuring up-and-coming groups. Suoni Per Il Popolo Festival is presented by the Société des Arts Libres et Actuels. The SALA advances/encourage experimental up-and-coming music in a community context.
THIS WEEK’S CONCERT WITH SUONI PER IL POPOLO
August 9, 2017: The Submissives
The Submissives succumb to man’s every whim. Yearning for love and attention, they stagger blindly, tethered hopeless to a domestic mirage. They suffer with longing and pine for the boy who burdens them with this undying lovesickness. The Submissives’ full-length album Do You Really Love Me? is a 15 song collection of warped lovesick pop, written and recorded in Montreal by Deb Edison.
Free concert and open to all.
Location: Victoria Street, between Sherbrooke Street West and President-Kennedy Avenue.
Unless otherwise indicated, concerts will be cancelled in case of rain.
