Conservation for Exhibition: A Closer Look at the Museum’s Indigenous Cultures Collection

This presentation in collaboration with Les Belles Soirées provides a unique opportunity to see up close the objects in the McCord Museum’s Indigenous Cultures collection and sheds light on the restoration work to prepare for the exhibition Wearing our Identity. The First Peoples Collection.

Since the opening of the exhibition, conservators and mounting specialists have treated more than 350 objects from this outstanding collection. Come and see how conservation contributes to the appreciation and better understanding of objects and their history.
