On the occasion of The Montreal International Animation Film Festival August 17-20 (ANIMAZE), Aislin, the famous political cartoonist, talks with Laurie Gordon, director of the festival about his next frontier animation.

Together they will discuss Aislin’s exploration from political cartoon to animation. As print media faces turbulent times, political cartoons have an enduring popularity. The digital evolution has lead Aislin and his team (Mary Hughson and David Sidaway) to move into the realm of animation. Aislin will talk about these early attempts and the exciting possibilities they hold for other animators in a new media landscape.

Free activity. Projections, Q&A.
Aislin will personally guide the audience on a rare tour through the Aislin: 50 Years of Cartoons exhibition. (Ticket to visit current exhibitions mandatory for this guided tour)
