Navigating on the Lachine Canal, 1825-1960
From September 7, 2002 to March 2, 2003
This exhibition has ended.
The Lachine Canal has a vibrant place in Canada's history as a witness to developments in marine transportation and as a cradle of the country's industrialization. Spring 2002 saw the official reopening of the Lachine Canal exclusively for pleasure boating, and in September the McCord opens a new exhibition illustrating this historic waterway's unique contribution to the growth of Montreal and the country as a whole.
An exhibition developed by the McCord Museum in partnership with Parks Canada.\
