Duration: 120 minutes

The McCord Museum is in the heart of the Golden Square Mile, where for 100 years the Montreal elite lived in a small patch of countryside that allowed them to escape the pollution of neighbourhoods near the port. Equiped with a tablet and accompanied by a guide, students tour the Golden Square Mile and the architectural styles of the 19th and 20th centuries. Along the way, they discover how the neighbourhood’s magnificient buildings have been integrated into today’s urban landscape.
In a workshop, students create a photomontage where the past and the present meet.
