The Sunday Workshops

The Peer-to-peer Committee is proud to launch the Sunday Workshops initiative to raise $20,000 to cover the cost of designing, coordinating and facilitating the workshops activities year-around and to continue offering the Sunday Workshops for free.

WHAT ARE THE SUNDAY WORKSHOPS?

These fun educational craft workshops, linked to McCord Museum exhibitions, are offered for free to families every Sunday throughout the year and every day during the holiday season.

The activities vary depending on the season and Museum programming. There are up to four different themes per year.

Almost 3,000 families are able to participate free of charge each year.

What is the impact of this program?

  • Contributes to the development and education of children—the next generation
  • Fosters healthy parent-child relationships by allowing families to spend quality time together
  • Builds informed, open, engaged citizens by bringing together Montrealers of all origins through stories and shared activities
