It's the most wonderful time of the year at the McCord Museum!

Montréal, Friday, December 10, 2004 Take a break from the holiday hustle and bustle at the McCord Museum, where there are always fun things to do as a family. Start off with a visit to our new exhibition, Growing Up in Montréal. Then participate in a festive arts and crafts workshop, or choose one of six independent activities in the exhibition halls.

And the best part is all workshops and activities are included in Museum admission!

Arts and Crafts Workshop for December
Bilingual; drop in anytime on Saturdays and Sundays between 1:30 to 3:30 pm.

• SANTA'S VILLAGE
  A little clay goes a long way! Sculpt yours into a bevy of busy elves and their tiny houses.

Independent Activities
Activities you can do with your family, and at your own pace. Look for the family symbol in the exhibition halls.

• ONE, TWO, BUCKLE MY SHOE...
  This eventful trip through the exhibition Growing Up in Montréal will show you what's changed and what hasn't for kids over the past 100 years.
• THE WISHING TREE
  Let your hopes take the form of a glittery metal star, then pin it on the wishing tree in the exhibition Growing Up in Montréal.
• DON'T FORGET TO WRITE!
  Before leaving the exhibition Growing Up in Montréal, take a moment to write us a note telling us about one of your fondest childhood memories.
• HANG UP YOUR DESIGNS
  Take inspiration from the children's clothing on display in Growing Up in Montréal and display your own designs on our clothesline.
• AND THE DISH RAN AWAY WITH THE SPOON...
  Test your observation skills in the exhibition Turning the Tables, where you'll be asked to set the table with care.
• A VISIT IN A VALISE
  A suitcase full of fun for the whole family, for use in the exhibition Simply Montréal. Ask for it at the Admissions desk.
