Map and Directions

Map

For those arriving by automobile there are a number of routes into the city. From the south or east you will be crossing the St. Lawrence River via the Champlain Bridge. Signs at the exit from the bridge indicate the way to Centre Ville (Downtown). This route feeds you right onto University Street. Turn left on Sherbrooke Street West. The McCord will be on your left.

If you are approaching Montreal from the west along TransCanada Highway 40 or Highway 20, you should follow the signs saying Centre Ville. These will lead you onto the Autoroute Ville Marie. Almost immediately signs indicate right hand exits; take the Rue Guy exit putting you directly onto St-Marc which runs north to Sherbrooke Street. Turn right at Sherbrooke, and in less than a mile you will come to the McCord Museum (at the corner of Victoria Street).
