ACTIVITIES FOR DAY CAMPS

Enjoy fun, creative activities as you explore history with your groups of children ages 5 to 12.

MEET CANADA’S FIRST PEOPLES
Enter the fascinating world of Aboriginal peoples, both past and present, during a visit to the Wearing Our Identity – The First Peoples Collection exhibition. Museum guides explain the connections between objects and legends, and the tour ends with each child making a bracelet.

Cost: $7.50 per person*
Capacity: 60 children
Length: 90 minutes
*Counsellors admitted free

GOLDEN SQUARE MILE
Stroll through the heart of the Golden Square Mile, one of Montreal’s most iconic neighbourhoods. Accompanied by a guide and a digital tablet, campers learn about the area’s history and discover the mansions lived in by Montreal’s 19th and 20th century elite. The children then create a photocollage combining images from the past and the present.

Length: 90 minutes

DOUBLE-THE-FUN WEDNESDAYS
Enjoy the best of both worlds —social history and natural science— in the heart of Montreal. Spend half the day at the McCord Museum and the other half at the Redpath Museum. Both visits will feature scientific and artistic activities.

Wednesdays only, June 27 to August 22

Cost: $12 per person*
Capacity: 60 children
Length: 90 minutes at the McCord Museum, lunch break,** then 90 minutes at the Redpath Museum.
*Counsellors admitted free
