Keys to History
After a series of meetings of Union Committees over a period of several years, a General Assembly was held in Montreal to formalize the union of the several congregations in Canada of the Presbyterian Church and the Scottish Free Church. The background of the composite, showing marble pillars and tiers of balconies, does not represent the Victoria Skating Rink (located between Stanley and Drummond Streets) where the meeting was actually held. Rather, it is a modification of the Second Chapel at Yale College as seen in the student composite I-73955.
