Keys to History
This composite featuring Prince Arthur is made up of only two photographs. The general view of the house includes the group on the porch. The second one shows the coachman, team and sleigh. The house, Rosemount, where the Prince stayed as a guest of Sir John Rose during the time he was stationed in Montreal, was situated at the head of Simpson Street. It is now the site of Percy Walters Park. The painted composite version was created in 1874.
