Wonderful, Wonderful Wonderbra: Highlights from the Canadelle Collection
Tea at the McCord
In 2015, the McCord Museum received an exceptional donation, a large collection of Wonderbra samples from the Canadelle company in Montreal. Alexis Walker, Curatorial Assistant, Costume and Textiles, has selected the most outstanding pieces among some 2,400 garments, placing them in the context
of history and the evolution of women’s undergarments in the 20th century.
The lectures from the series Tea at the McCord focus on the Museum’s collections and exhibitions. The presentation will be in English followed by a bilingual question period. Tea and biscuits are served.
