Screening of Édith Jorisch’s L’Héritier
As part of the Shalom Montreal: Stories and Contributions of the Jewish Community exhibition, recover every first Sunday of the month a free screening related to the exhibition.
In 1938, at the early stages of the Second World War, the Nazis seize the property of the Jorisch family. They steal their artwork collection including paintings from Gustav Klimt. Georges Jorisch is then 10 years old. His father and he are the only ones from his family who will survive the Holocaust. Seventy years later, Georges decides to get justice in the name of his family. His quest for the restitution of the Klimt paintings stolen from his family starts.
