Fashion at the Museum

In conjunction with the exhibition Balenciaga, Master of Couture, we present this documentary about Cristóbal Balenciaga (1895-1972), his work and his role in having haute couture recognized as an art form.

The documentary will be introduced by Cynthia Cooper, Curator, Dress, Fashion and Textiles, who will discuss Balenciaga garments from the Museum’s collection, some of which are featured in the exhibition.

Introduction in French.
Duration of the documentary: 52 minutes. Subtitles in French, dialogues in French, English and Spanish.
