Workshop and Discussion
Wednesday, APRIL 11 2018, 6 p.m to 7:30 p.m.
Photobook Club at the McCord Museum: Auto/biography
Artists and photography enthusiasts will gather at the Museum to talk about photobooks that have an “auto/biographical” theme and how they can relate to the projects of Montreal photographer Michel Campeau. Reserve your seat today!
As a form, the photobook lends itself to a narrative approach, while the medium of photography encourages practitioners to scrutinize themselves, their history and their daily lives.
The Photobook Club is inviting workshop participants to bring books from their personal collections that focus on the idea of biography or autobiography and to enrich the activity by sharing their views with the group.
A project by Jean-François Hamelin, Josée Schryer and Thomas Bouquin.
The books being presented will include:
- The Notion of Family, LaToya Ruby Frazier
- The Light Under the Door, Tsar Fedorsky
- Ravens, Masahisa Fukase
- Books brought by members of the public
Bilingual free activity. Space is limited, reserve your seat today!
Location: J. Armand Bombardier Theatre, McCord Museum.
