Shalom Montreal Concerts: Ichka
Ichka follows the journey of Ashkenazi Jews from Eastern Europe to New York City in the 1910s and 1920s. As many Jews left Poland, Ukraine, Romania, and Moldova for a better life in the “New World”, they brought their violins, clarinets, and accordions with them.
Location: Victoria Street, between Sherbrooke Street West and President-Kennedy Avenue
Every Wednesday of July and August, concerts in relation with the exhibition Shalom Montreal: Stories and Contributions of the Jewish Community are presented at lunchtime in the beautiful space of the Urban Forest.
